Monash Children’s Hospital is one of Australia’s leading providers of integrated children’s health services, with more than 30 specialist services and programs. We have Victoria’s largest Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and provide leading paediatric services in many areas including Rehabilitation & Oncology. Allied Health at Monash Children’s Hospital provides specialised services to paediatric patients across the continuum including inpatients, outpatients and via Hospital in the Home.  

 

 

About the Role

Join our team as a Grade 2 Dietitian on a casual basis, working predominantly at Monash Children’s Hospital in Clayton, with additional shifts available across our paediatric sites in the South East.

 

In this role, you will work under the leadership of the Nutrition and Dietetics Profession Lead, alongside the broader Children’s Allied Health team.

 

Be part of a large, experienced, and dynamic Allied Health team as a casual paediatric Dietitian, delivering high-quality, evidence-based nutrition care to infants, children, and adolescents across a growing tertiary children’s service.

 

You will provide comprehensive nutrition assessment and management across acute inpatient units, specialist outpatient clinics, and services, supporting optimal nutrition outcomes and safe, timely discharge.

 

Casual work offers exposure to a wide range of paediatric specialties, along with the flexibility to cover vacancies, planned leave, and weekend shifts across multiple Monash Children’s sites.

 

This position is supported by a large and highly skilled team of Paediatric Dietitians, with structured onboarding, targeted upskilling, mentorship, and ongoing professional development opportunities.

  

 

About You:

To thrive in this role, you will bring the following:

  • Experience in paediatric dietetics   
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team in the paediatric setting   

 

  • Hold a Dietitians Australia accredited dietetics degree or hold a Dietitians Australia mutually recognised dietetics degree from New Zealand or have passed the Dietitians Dietetic Skills Recognition (DSR) process 
  • Eligible for DA membership and Accredited Practicing Dietitian (APD) status
