About the Role:
Join our team as a Dietitian Grade 2 on a full-time fixed-term basis (until July 2026) based across Monash Medical Centre (Clayton) and Moorabbin Hospital.
Working within the inpatient acute setting you will utilise your extensive clinical knowledge and skills to embed yourself as a valuable member of the multidisciplinary team and provide evidence based, patient-centred and outcome-focussed care to Monash Health patients.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Deliver best practice, patient-centred dietetic care
- Teach and supervise dietetic students and Grade 1 dietitians
- Contribute to innovation in quality improvement and research activities
- Work as an embedded member of the multi-disciplinary team
About Us:
This position is within the Nutrition and Dietetics Department that services Monash Medical Centre, Moorabbin Hospital and the Victorian Heart Hospital. We are a large, integrated and cohesive team that is empowered and supports each other to deliver patient-centred, effective and evidence-based care. Travel and work between Monash Health sites is required.
About You:
To ensure your success in this role you will bring the following demonstrated skills, experience and knowledge:
- Experience in acute dietetics (including enteral nutrition and parenteral nutrition support)
- A forward-thinking approach to care – your ideas matter to us
- Confident communication that progresses and/or escalates care, articulates handover and discharge plans
- Demonstrated resilience, flexibility and adaptability in response to a dynamic work environment
- Experience supervising students
- Minimum 2 years acute experience preferred
Mandatory requirements of the role:
- An approved undergraduate or post graduate degree in Nutrition and Dietetics
- Eligibility for membership of Dietitians Australia
- Eligibility for Accredited Practising APD membership
