About the Role:
Join our dynamic team as a Dietitian Grade 2 on a part-time fixed-term (0.60 EFT / 45.6 hours per fortnight) basis, until June 2026 based at Monash Medical Centre.
In this role you will provide dietetic services within Monash Health Adult Inpatient services, outpatient services and clinics with the aim of improving patient outcomes and supporting timely, safe discharge. Our team works flexibly and cohesively to deliver right place, right time, right dietetic care to referred patients across all units including medical, specialty medicine, general and specialty surgery, emergency and critical care units.
You will play an active role within the Nutrition and Dietetics team and the broader multidisciplinary team by delivering best-practice clinical care, sharing your knowledge, and participating in teaching and supervision of undergraduate and/or postgraduate students. You will also support mentoring and supervision activities, participate in research and quality improvement projects, and assist with food service, administrative duties, and delegated portfolio responsibilities.

This position sits within the Nutrition and Dietetics Department, providing services across Monash Medical Centre, Moorabbin Hospital, and the Victorian Heart Hospital. You will be part of a large, integrated, and cohesive team that is empowered to support one another in delivering patient-centred, effective, and evidence-based care. Travel and work across Monash Health sites is required.

About You:
To thrive in this role, you will bring the following:
- Experience in acute dietetics and enteral nutrition,
- Demonstrated clinical reasoning and prioritisation skills
- Confident communication that escalates care, articulates handover and discharge plans
- Demonstrated accountability whilst working autonomously
- Minimum 2 years acute experience preferred
Mandatory requirements include:
- Hold a Dietitians Australia accredited dietetics degree or hold a Dietitians Australia mutually recognised dietetics degree from New Zealand or have passed the Dietitians Dietetic Skills Recognition (DSR) process
- Eligibility for membership of Dietitians Australia
- Eligibility for Accredited Practising APD membership
- Current Drivers Licence
