About the Role
The Wellness and Recovery Centre (WRC) is a specialist eating disorder service that is treatment based and recovery orientated. Teams provide care to both acute inpatient medical units and community treatment options utilising evidence based therapies, within a person centred model. Whilst not providing case management services, we work collaboratively with both public and private service agencies to provide specialist guidance and input as needed to assist with determining clinical care pathways. The Outpatient Treatment Team is a multidisciplinary team providing evidenced based treatment to consumers aged over 18 years at Monash Medical Centre with a focus on the delivery of psychological therapies specifically for eating disorders. The Eating Disorder Therapist position provides psychological services to consumers who present with eating disorders. The position also supports the WRC Inpatient Units and Day Program as necessary.
The role is a fixed term 0.6EFT position until October 2025.
About You
You are an experienced clinician with a proven track record in the field of eating disorders. You enjoy working within a team environment and have a keen focus on fostering relationships to improve service provision and deliver patient-centred care. Your ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbally, to a wide audience is a core competency for this position, along with excellent time-management skills and extensive knowledge and skills working with people presenting with an eating disorder.
