About the Role:

Are you a true people person who thrives in a dynamic team environment and enjoys supporting patients through their surgical journey? 

Monash Health’s Elective Surgery Services team is seeking enthusiastic and compassionate Clerical Staff to join our busy and dedicated team on a full-time or part-time ongoing basis across our Moorabbin, Clayton and Dandenong Hospitals. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference by providing efficient, respectful, and reliable administrative support across all surgical specialties. 

As an Elective Surgery Clerk, you will play a vital role in managing patients on the Elective Surgery Waiting List and ensuring a smooth surgical journey. Joining our large supportive team that values collaboration and patient-centred care. 

Your responsibilities will include: 

• Coordinating and performing all administrative functions related to elective bookings across multiple sites 
• Managing patient inquiries from referral through to admission 
• Processing Requests for Elective Admissions (REA) 
• Data entry and appointment scheduling using iPM, Outlook, EMR, and SMR systems 
• Preparing and collating paperwork for scanning

About You:

To thrive in this role, you will bring the following:

• Friendly, compassionate, and committed to helping others 
• Experienced in healthcare administration (preferred) 
• Skilled in iPM and other patient administration systems 
• Highly organised with excellent communication skills 
• Able to thrive in a busy, fast-paced environment
