Monash Health’s Elective Surgery Services team is seeking enthusiastic and compassionate Clerical Staff to join our busy and dedicated team on a full-time or part-time ongoing basis across our Moorabbin, Clayton and Dandenong Hospitals. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference by providing efficient, respectful, and reliable administrative support across all surgical specialties.
As an Elective Surgery Clerk, you will play a vital role in managing patients on the Elective Surgery Waiting List and ensuring a smooth surgical journey. Joining our large supportive team that values collaboration and patient-centred care.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Coordinating and performing all administrative functions related to elective bookings across multiple sites
- Managing patient inquiries from referral through to admission
- Processing Requests for Elective Admissions (REA)
- Data entry and appointment scheduling using iPM, Outlook, EMR, and SMR systems
- Preparing and collating paperwork for scanning

About You:
To thrive in this role, you will bring the following:
- Friendly, compassionate, and committed to helping others
- Experienced in healthcare administration (preferred)
- Skilled in iPM and other patient administration systems
- Highly organised with excellent communication skills
- Able to thrive in a busy, fast-paced environment
