About the Role  

We are expanding our Environmental Services Assistant pool team and are seeking experienced ESAs to deliver high-quality support to patients, visitors and colleagues. 

 

Pool staff work across morning, afternoon and evening shifts, Monday to Sunday, with guaranteed part-time hours. 

 

ESAs play a vital role in maintaining a clean, safe and hygienic hospital environment for patients, visitors and colleagues across Monash Health. Working across clinical and non-clinical areas, ESAs support infection control through cleaning, waste management, linen services, safe work practices and collaborating with teams to deliver high-quality services. 

 

We have the following opportunities available: 

  • Casey Hospital  

         (Guaranteed permanent 37.5 hours per fortnight)

    • AM: Shifts starting between 7:00 am – 9:00 am – finishing by 5:30 pm  
    • PM: Shifts starting between 12:00 pm - 3:30 pm – finishing by 11:30 pm  
    • Night: 11:30 pm – 7:30 am 

  

  • Clayton 

        (Guaranteed permanent 48 or 60 hours per fortnight)

    • AM: Shifts start between 5:00 am - 8:00 am, finishing by 5:00 pm.  
    • PM: Shifts start between 1:00pm - 6:00 pm, finishing by 11:30 pm.  
    • Night: Shifts start between 10:30 pm - 3:30 am, finishing by 7:00 am 

  

  • Dandenong Hospital  

        (Guaranteed permanent 60 hours per fortnight) 

    • AM: Shifts starting between 6:30 am – 11:00 am – finishing by 7:00 pm
    • PM and Night: Shifts starting between 12:00 pm – 4:00 pm – finishing by 7:30 am or shifts starting between 5:30 pm – 11:00 pm – finishing by 7:30 am 

  

  • Victorian Heart Hospital 

        (Guaranteed permanent 40 hours per fortnight) 

    • AM: Shifts starting between 6:30 am – 7:00 am, finishing by 3:00 pm
    • Middle: 10:00 am – 6:30 pm
    • PM: Shifts starting between 12:00 pm – 2:30 pm, finishing by 11:00 pm
    • Night: 10:30 pm – 7:00 am 

 

 

About You  

To be successful in this role, you will bring experience in hospital, aged care or commercial cleaning environments, with strong knowledge of infection control, safety and hygiene practices. You will also have strong communication skills and a reliable, team-focused approach.
