About the Role:
Join our team as an Enviromental Services Assistant on a part time ongoing basis to work at Victorian Heart Hosipital, Clayton. We have several roles available. Please indicate the roles you wish to apply for in order of preference in your application. In these roles, you will be rostered to work the following shifts each week subject to the position(s) you nominate from the list below:

1. Waste & Linen | Tuesday & Wednesday | 14.30 - 23.00 | 32 fortnight |
2. Floater | Monday & Tuesday | 15.00 - 23.30 | 32fortnight |
3. Specialist Clinics | Thursday | 14.00 - 23.00 | 16 fortnight |
4. Theatre | Friday, Sat and Sun | 22.30 - 07.00 | 48 fortnight |
5. Floors | Friday, Sat and Sun | 22.30 - 07.00 | 48 fortnight |
Your responsiblilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Environmental Cleaning
- Cleaning of floors surfaces
- Waste segregation and removal/transport to main loading dock
- Linen removal and transport to the main linen loading dock for removal
- Cleaning of amenities
- Cleaning of consulting suites, public & clinical areas
About Us:
Our Support Services team provides a range of essential non-clinical services that help our hospitals run. We provide food services, central production kitchen, patient support, porters, cleaning, linen, pest control, waste management, car parking, hygiene services and some retail services.
About You:
To ensure your success in this role you will bring the following demonstrated skills, experience and knowledge:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- A commitment to delivering excellent customer service
- Holds a strong commitment to working effectively as part of a team
- Takes pride in your work with great attention to detail
- Has great time management skills and ability to prioritise tasks
- Certificate III Cleaning Services (Desirable)
- Able to undertake physical work including lifting, carrying and manual handling
- A high standard of demonstrated experience in customer service and cleaning in a healthcare environment.
- Ability to work with a cohesive team or individually to complete daily tasks
- Excellent understanding of infection control procedures
- Basic to intermediate computer/digital skills
