About the Role:

Step into an exciting opportunity as a Grade 1 Exercise Physiologist and make a real impact across our CART Primary Care team! This part-time, fixed-term role (0.6 EFT / 45.6 hours per fortnight) until December 2026 offers a dynamic and rewarding environment where no two days are the same.

 

You’ll play a key role in delivering best-practice, person-centred care while working closely with a vibrant multidisciplinary team including Exercise Physiologists, Physiotherapists, and Stream/Team Leaders. Your work will support patients to achieve their goals, help strengthen partnerships across and beyond Monash Health, and contribute to high-quality, effective service delivery.

 

This position is primarily based across our community sites, with the opportunity to work at any Monash Health location as needed. Your flexibility and adaptability will allow you to gain experience across diverse clinical areas and grow your skills in a supportive and collaborative environment.

About Us:

Primary Care Support Team, as part of the Community Assessment and Response Directorate offers a variety of programs that assist individuals to manage chronic health conditions, covering Greater Dandenong and Cardinia Casey, focusing on the assessment and delivery of client focused care. 

The team consists of Allied Health Assistants, Care Coordinators, Community Development Workers, Counsellors, Diabetes Nurse Educators, Dietitians, Exercise Physiologists, Psychologists, Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Social Workers, Recreational Therapists, Lifestyle and Leisure Assistants and Podiatrists. The team is committed to working with communities, families and individuals who have poor health outcomes and to providing high quality, multidisciplinary programs which embrace client centred care, evidence based practice and the Social Model of Health.

Mandatory requirements of the role: 

  • Bachelor of Exercise and Sports Science or equivalent as per Exercise & Sports Science Australia (ESSA) approved courses 
  • Eligible to be an Accredited Exercise Physiologist (AEP) 
  • Current Driver’s License
