About the Role

 

Join our team as a Food Services Supervisor on a part time to work at Victorian Heart Hospital based at Clayton. In this role, you will be guided under the leadership of the General and Food Services Manager and working with the broader Support Services team.The Food Services Supervisor play a vital role in providing high-quality meal services to patients and supporting overall patient nutrition and food safety.The Food Service Supervisor is responsible for the supervision of Food Service team and works to assist the food services leadership team in meeting operational objectves.The Food Services Supervisor contributes to patient care by ensuring meals are delivered on time, safely, accurately and with respect.

 

Key responsibilities include, but not limited to:

 

  •  Leading our services in our pursuit of exceptional patient and employee experiences
  • Achieving and maintaining the highest standards in food safety
  •  Working closely with departmental leads and teams to drive service excellence
  •  Leading the day-to-day operational team, managing employee absences to achieve service delivery
  • Provision of food services to both public and private patients in one facility
  • Roster management
  • Leading the food services team in their delivery of meals and food supplies
  • Ensuring accreditation requirements are maintained for areas of responsibility
  • Achieving key performance indicators
  • Delivery of high-quality customer focused services
  • Supervising hospital-wide meal delivery services in line with food safety and dietary guidelines

 

   

 We currently have the following opportunity available:

 

Monday – Friday 14:00 – 20:30 (30 hrs per week)

 

About You

 

To ensure your success in this role, you will bring experience in food services within a hospital, aged care, or hospitality setting with strong demonstrated knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene standards. You have a passion for patient care and nutrition, ensuring patients are treated with respect and empathy. You are a reliable and punctual team member with great verbal and written communication skills; and intermediate computer skills. Whether you work independently or as part of a team; you always follow manual handling, safety protocols, and procedural instructions. It would be an advantage if you also have comprehensive understanding of diet codes, texture modified foods and fluids, food allergies and intolerances.

 

You will have a working knowledge of Food Safety and be required to hold the following qualifications.

 

HLTFSE001: Follow basic food safety practices

HLTFSE005: Apply and Monitor Food Safety Programs

HLTFSE007: Oversee the Day to Day Implementation of Food Safety in the Workplace
