About the Role:      

Join our team as a General Services Supervisor to work at Monash Medical Centre based in Clayton. Being part of the Support Services leadership team and reporting to the General Services Manager, General Services Supervisors play a vital role in supporting PSAs, ESAs in the delivery of excellence in hygiene and patient care.

 

This role is perfect for those with dynamic leadership skills and a positive attitude with a passion for being part of a collaborative patient-focused team. 

Driving excellence across linen, pest control, washroom, and waste services to ensure operational objectives are met, you will be welcomed by a truly supportive and inspiring leadership team who encourage upskilling, growth and career development. 

 

Key responsibilities of General Services Supervisor include but not limited to:  

  • Lead and mentor a team of Patient Services and Environmental Services Assistants
  • Actively contribute to a positive team culture 
  • Roster & timesheet management 
  • Conducting inspections and cleaning audits of clinical and non-clinical areas and overseeing corrective actions
  • Meet service key performance indicators 
  • Deliver high-quality customer focused services 
  • Manage site-wide cleaning, waste, linen and patient movement requests
  • Management of staff performance and coordination of improvement plans

 

 

We currently have an opportunity available for 64 hours per fortnight. As this role is a relief Supervisor position, shifts can be anytime between 5:30 am and 11:00 pm, seven days a week, when required to relieve other shifts. Primarily shifts will be morning shifts during the week. The ideal candidate will have the ability to flex up to 76 hours per fortnight.

 

About You:

To ensure your success in this role, you will bring experience in patient services within a hospital, aged care or commercial cleaning setting and have the following demonstrated skills, experience and knowledge: 

 

  • Demonstrated leadership skills to supervise and mentor a team is essential 
  • Sound computer and MS suite skills required with time & attendance and HRIS knowledge desirable 
  • Agility in multi-tasking and prioritising tasks
  • Demonstrated knowledge of; and ability to maintain and improve cleaning, hygiene and infection prevention standards and practices
  • Understanding of Victorian Public Hospital Cleaning Standards 
  • Ability to undertake physical work including lifting, carrying and manual handling 
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to implement written instructions and company policies & procedures  
  • High standard of integrity and confidentiality required at all times
