Position: Grade 4 Genetic Counsellor, part-time fxed, MND Role

To establish and co-ordinate a weekly clinic to provide genetic counselling to individuals with MND and their families. 

 

About You 

You are an experienced Genetic Counsellor with a strong commitment to patient‑centred care and a high level of knowledge in the medical, genetic, and psychosocial aspects of genetic counselling. You have demonstrated clinical experience and bring clinical and/or research experience in Motor Neurone Disease (MND), supporting effective counselling in complex neurogenetic contexts. You are adaptable, hardworking, and enthusiastic, with the ability to thrive in fast‑paced, multidisciplinary environments as a considerate and collaborative team member. You have excellent written and verbal English communication skills and are a proficient computer user, with strong Microsoft Office skills and the ability to learn new systems quickly.
 

What you need:  

  • A Graduate Diploma or Masters of Genetic Counselling 
  • Current Working with Children’s Check 
  • Proven relevant experience 
  • Relevant working visa 
  • Relevant qualifications
