About the Role

 

We’re excited to offer multiple Allied Health Assistant (AHA) Grade 2 or 3 positions in the Physiotherapy team at Moorabbin Hospital (including links to Monash Medical Centre and Victorian Heart Hospital). Full-time and /or part-time fixed term (until 22/1/2027) Grade 2 or 3 AHA roles, primarily supporting musculoskeletal / orthopaedic and acute and complex care patients.

In this role you will be responsible for the provision of assistance to Physiotherapists and other Allied Health professionals. Performing work of a general nature under the delegation and supervision of Allied Health professionals including, but not limited to:

 

  • Work with direct supervision to implement therapeutic and related activities, in individual and group settings
  • Provide clinical support to Allied Health professionals in delivering therapy programs
  • Provide non-clinical assistance to Allied Health professionals including but not limited to administrative and cleaning duties

 

As part of the Allied Health team, you will be expected to work across sites as required.

About You

 

The successful candidates will be required to participate in/lead programs, processes and quality improvement activities as part of our Allied Health Assistant and Physiotherapy and Exercise Physiology teams. You may be responsible for representing your local Allied Health Assistant team at Monash Health AHA group meetings and will demonstrate excellence in initiative and program implementation and a commitment to ongoing evaluation and best practice. Communication and working effectively in a team are pivotal to this role. 

 

 

What you need

 

  • Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance  
  • Relevant experience working as an AHA in a health care setting preferred (minimum of three years of experience - full time equivalent required for Grade 3 role)
  • A current Australian Drivers Licence 
  • Relevant experience working with acutely unwell and surgical patients in a health care setting is preferred
