About the Role
This senior leadership role is pivotal in the effective oversight of in-house professional engineers and skilled trades, as well as a large team of external contractors, whose combined efforts ensure all our facilities and infrastructure are fit for purpose.

Reporting to the Director, Capital, Engineering and Facilities Management, the successful applicant will be expected to set a clear strategic direction for asset management and infrastructure reliability.  Additional key result areas include effectively managing risk as it relates to this portfolio and ensuring all engineering infrastructure projects are delivered within agreed project parameters.

This unique role offers a rare opportunity to lead and advance a key support function in the largest and most complex public health service in the state.

About You
You are a proven people leader with a demonstrated track record of success in motivating, leading and developing teams to their full potential.  An astute professional, you understand the importance of buildings, facilities and infrastructure and the role they play in enabling the delivery of consistently high quality healthcare to patients in the community we serve.

You are passionate about embedding an exemplary service culture across the teams you lead and are motivated by the opportunity to play a key role in shaping the culture and direction of this business critical function.

Ideally holding tertiary qualifications in mechanical or electrical engineering, you assimilate information quickly and are both confident and comfortable navigating complex workplace environments.  Always looking to the future, you are a recognised change agent who is not afraid to challenge the status quo, bringing a pragmatic approach to implementing and/or reconfiguring systems and structures to support the advancement of the engineering and facilities management space.

Further, you are known as an innovative thinker, with exemplary engagement skills, enabling you to readily develop and advance stakeholder relationships with ease.
