About the Role

We are seeking a passionate and strategic leader to take on the role of Head of Podiatry and Allied Health Administration. This ongoing, full-time Grade 5 position is a key leadership role within Allied Health, reporting professionally to the Chief Allied Health Officer and operationally to the Operations Director Allied Health.

The Head of Podiatry and Allied Health Administration, provides:

  • Professional governance for Podiatry across Monash Health
  • Operational and strategic leadership for Allied Health Administration teams across five hospital sites
  • Site leadership for Allied Health at one hospital campus
  • Workforce innovation and cultural leadership across the broader Allied Health service

This role is central to shaping the future of Podiatric and Allied Health Administrative services at Monash Health, ensuring safe, evidence-based care, fostering inclusive and high-performing teams, and contributing to system-wide leadership.

 

About the Podiatry and Allied Health Administrative Team

The Podiatry and Allied Health Administration team plays a critical role in delivering excellence across the continuum of care, from early intervention to complex, multidisciplinary services. The Podiatry Department is leading the way across all ages and stages, shaping new models of care and creating career pathways never seen before. Our Allied Health Administration teams are embedded across five major hospital sites, supporting seamless care delivery and operational excellence.

In this Role You Will:

  • Lead and support a large, diverse team of podiatrists and administrative professionals
  • Drive innovation in service delivery, workforce models, and patient-centred care
  • Represent Allied Health at senior leadership forums and contribute to strategic planning
  • Champion research, education, and quality improvement initiatives
  • Collaborate across disciplines to ensure integrated, high-quality care
  • Foster a culture of inclusion, excellence, and continuous improvement

 

About You

You are a respected clinical leader with:

  • Extensive experience in podiatry and/or allied health leadership across hospital, community, or mental health settings
  • A strong track record in workforce development, service innovation, and operational management
  • High-level communication, collaboration, and change management skills
  • A commitment to evidence-based practice, quality improvement, and inclusive leadership
  • A mindset that is Full Hearted, Open Minded, and All In

 

You’re ready to lead with purpose, shape the future of Podiatry and Allied Health Administration, and make a lasting impact on the lives of patients, families, and communities.

You will also hold the following:

  • Bachelor of Podiatry, Bachelor of Applied Science (Podiatry), Masters of Podiatry Practice or recognised equivalent degree (required)
  • Current Podiatry Registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (practicing) – no restrictions. (required)
  • Membership or be eligible for membership of Australian Podiatry Association (required)
  • Progressing towards higher qualifications in Podiatry, Research, Public Health, Health Administration or Management (desirable)
