About the ICU Post Graduate Program

We're excited to offer an exceptional opportunity to complete your Post Graduate Studies in Critical Care within our 4 Intensive Care Units at Monash Health: Clayton Hospital/ Dandenong Hospital /Casey Hospital and Victorian Heart Hospital

 

About our Intensive Care Units.

Monash Health is Victoria's largest public health service, committed to excellence in healthcare delivery. Our Intensive Care Units are at the forefront of critical care, catering to a diverse range of patients and medical specializations.

  • Monash Medical Centre, Clayton - Adult ICU is a 27-bed tertiary referral centre specializing in Neurosurgery, Neurology, Obstetrics, General Medicine, and Surgery, with over 1900 admissions per year.
  • Dandenong Hospital- is a 14-bed unit specializing in Colorectal, General Surgery, ENT, Orthopaedics, Plastics, Vascular, and General Medicine patients.
  • Casey Hospital - is a 12-bed general Medical/Surgical unit specialising in Urology, Obstetrics and post-operative surgical care.
  • Victorian Heart Hospital - Newly built state-of-the-art 16-bed service to deliver a modern model of excellence in care to complex cardiac patients supported by a team of critical care nurses and a multidisciplinary cardiac team.  The Victorian Heart Hospital Intensive Cardiac Care Unit  we provide cardiothoracic care and nurse-led EMCO service

 

About the Role

The Post Graduate program is offered as a Part-Time (.8 EFT) and Fixed-Term(1 year) opportunity. You'll be working clinical shifts within the unit to support the completion of your Post Graduate studies.

About You

We are seeking candidates with nursing experience in ICU or acute care settings who are ready to excel in our units. Bring your passion and genuine interest to this acute field and provide exceptional patient care.

Your application must include a resume, a cover letter clearly highlighting your site preference (Casey, Dandenong Hospital, Monash Medical Centre or Victorian Heart Hospital) and reasoning for preference.

Your strong work ethic, self-motivation, and personal values will make a significant contribution to our team. As we strive to be leaders in our field, delivering progressive treatment and care, your adaptable nature and ability to thrive in a changing environment will be essential.

You’re caring and engaging demeanour, along with your positive work attitude and exceptional communication skills, will allow you to connect effectively with patients and their families

What You Need: 

  • Current AHPRA registration 
  • Acute Care experience (preferable)
