Exciting Integration and Data Specialist opportunity in the EMR and Informatics Program.  

Our Journey  

Digital Health is transforming how clinical care is provided to the patients and communities that we serve. It is a Program led by clinicians, for clinicians, ultimately for patient benefit. The EMR & Informatics Program have supported multiple Clinical Information System implementations with opportunities to capture benefits and disseminate learnings.  

The EMR & Informatics Program contains three department streams:  

• EMR Operations;   

• Digital Health Informatics (Nursing & Midwifery and Medical);  

• Digital Projects (Digital Health Division PMO);  

The Monash Health Integration Team 

The team consist of integration and data specialist and integration architects. The Integration and Data Specialist will be responsible for interface technical activities, support, and development in a complex interfaced environment across the Monash Health network. The primary purpose of the Integration and Data Specialist role is to maintain maximum uptime of the Middleware environment and the integration between Monash Health key systems. In addition, the Integration and Data Specialist will be involved in key strategic digital projects with the responsibility to design, test and implement new interfaces against project timelines. 

Hiring for integration and data specialist backfill - Full Time Fixed Term 1 EFT position until 02/01/2026. 

About You:  

• Bachelor’s Degree (Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related discipline); 
• 5-7 years’ experience with creating HL7 interfaces. 
• Strong understanding of enterprise-level integration with EMR’s and experience with enterprise-level integrations and implementations. 
• Understanding of HL7 messaging standards, set up, troubleshooting and management. 
• Experience in other integration solution interfaces such as FTP, FHIR, web services, etc. 
• Recognition as a Certified Health Informatician Australasia (CHIA).
