About the Role
The Lead Study Coordinator plays a central role in overseeing a dynamic portfolio of clinical trials, working with sponsors, the trial centre team and collaborators across Monash Children’s Hospital. The Lead Study Coordinator assists the unit manager with supervision of the staff and coordination of new and ongoing trials, and development of strategies to meet the educational requirements of the staff and the participants in the trials and the forward planning of the resource requirements. The Lead Study Coordinator may also be responsible for the budget of the trial and unit.
This role has responsibility for the delivery of direct and indirect care of patients and associated data collection for concurrent research studies undertaken in the trials unit. Inherent requirements the role includes the development and review of standard operating protocols, liaison with external agencies, overseeing and participating in patient recruitment, ethics application processes and adverse event reporting, as required.
About Us
Monash Children’s Clinical Trials Centre is a dedicated unit within the 230-bed Monash Children’s Hospital, supporting a broad portfolio of phase II–IV clinical trials across multiple paediatric specialties. The centre facilitates access to innovative therapies for children with unmet medical needs and is equipped with outpatient and inpatient facilities, experienced research staff, and integrated trials pharmacy and pathology services through the Monash Health Translation Precinct.
About You
You have experience in management of research staff and leading a team. You will be dedicated to safe best practice & quality care.
What You Need:

A Health or Science degree
-
Prior experience in management of research staff and leading a team
-
Demonstrated understanding of establishment of clinical trials.

Demonstrated leadership ability working in multidisciplinary health care team.

Demonstrated understanding of clinical trial methodology and knowledge of Good Clinical Practice (ICH-GCP) requirements.

Experience in development and cultivation of relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
