Manager Clinical Digital Learning Practice

Reimagine how our clinicians learn to thrive in a digital environment..

Great digital systems only deliver when the people using them are confident, capable and supported. This role is about transforming the way clinical learning is designed and delivered at Monash Health — moving from traditional training to a modern, technology-enabled learning culture.

As Manager Clinical Digital Learning Practice, you'll build and lead a new learning practice within our Department of Clinical Informatics, shaping the strategy, framework and team that will lift the digital capability of our clinical workforce across the organisation.

This is a rare opportunity to establish something new — and to lead the people who will bring it to life.

About The Role

Reporting to the Head of Clinical Digital Change and Learning, you'll be accountable for developing and delivering a Clinical Digital Learning Practice that reimagines learning methodology, tools and experience for the effective use of clinical digital systems.

Leading a team of Clinical Digital Learning Specialists, you'll build a scalable Clinical Digital Learning Framework and embed it across onboarding, ongoing professional development, and project and enhancement programs. You'll bring innovative thinking — including technology and artificial intelligence — to make learning more interactive, scalable and optimised for future needs, working closely with the Clinical Digital Change Manager and the profession-specific informatics leads.

Success in the role will be measured across three key areas:

  • Developing a clinical digital learning practice and framework
  • Collaboration with Clinical Informatics and Digital Change to support innovation and benefits realisation
  • Stakeholder engagement and trusted relationship development

This Full Time, ongoing role is based in our hybrid workplace, with at least three days each week on site and flexibility to work from home. Travel across Monash Health sites will be required.

About You

You're a learning leader who understands that capability — not just system access — is what makes digital transformation stick. You've led high-performing teams in complex environments, and you know how to turn a training function into a strategic learning culture.

You bring vision and the ability to translate it into practical frameworks, tools and experiences that clinicians actually value. You build trust across a broad range of stakeholders, communicate with clarity, and navigate ambiguity with confidence.

You'll also bring:

  • Demonstrated success leading high-performing teams in complex, fast-paced environments
  • A strong track record in organisational learning strategy, Learning Needs Analysis, digital transformation, LMS management and learner experience design
  • Proven experience managing enterprise learning technologies and strategic learning initiatives
  • Strong capability in analytics-driven learning evaluation, reporting and demonstrating measurable impact
  • Extensive stakeholder engagement, strategic partnership development and customer-focused service delivery
  • A history as an innovator or thought leader, leveraging technology to transform employee experiences at scale
  • Postgraduate qualifications in Education, Learning, Instructional Design or a related field (health qualifications will be highly regarded)

Why Join the Department of Clinical Informatics?

The Department of Clinical Informatics brings together clinical expertise, digital innovation and human-centred design to improve the way care is delivered across Monash Health.

Working alongside our Chief Nursing & Midwifery Information Officer and Chief Medical Information Officer, you'll join a collaborative multidisciplinary team focused on transforming healthcare through digital innovation, clinical engagement and continuous improvement.

You'll have the opportunity to help establish a new Clinical Digital Change Practice while working on initiatives that improve clinical workflows, patient safety and the experience of both clinicians and consumers

Why join Monash Health?

This is more than a digital role—it's your chance to transform healthcare at scale. Working at the intersection of clinical care, technology and innovation, you'll help create smarter digital solutions that improve patient outcomes and support the clinicians who deliver them every day

  • Lead a state-wide service with real impact
  • Work within a values-driven, purpose-led organisation
