Manager - Property Strategy & Space Planning

About Us- The Capital and Infrastructure Team

The Capital and Infrastructure team plays a vital role in shaping the future of Monash Health by delivering both large-scale and smaller construction and refurbishment projects across all our sites. We oversee the full project lifecycle — from initial planning and design through to commissioning and occupancy — ensuring our hospitals, community health sites, and facilities continue to meet the evolving needs of our patients, visitors, and staff. Whether it's building new hospitals or upgrading existing spaces, our work directly supports the delivery of high-quality healthcare across Monash Health.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced property professional to lead the strategic management of Monash Health's extensive property portfolio. With over 150 properties spanning six major campuses, satellite sites, leaseholds, and government holdings — including Crown Land — this role is critical in ensuring our property assets continue to meet the organisation’s evolving needs.

You will be responsible for overseeing all lease, licence, and retail services agreements, while identifying opportunities to maximise the value of our property holdings, including divestment, consolidation, and income-producing potential. The role also provides high-level strategic advice on property-related commercial arrangements, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation including the Government Land Holding Policy, Crown Land Act, and Retail Services Act.

In addition, you will lead space management and site planning activities across Monash Health, supporting optimal space utilisation and contributing to funding submissions and business cases that enable future growth.
