About the Role:

The Wellness and Recovery Centre (WRC) is a specialist eating disorder service that is treatment based and recovery orientated. Teams provide care to both acute inpatient medical units and community treatment options utilising evidence based therapies, within a person centred model.

The Manager Role of WRC is responsible for the day to day operational oversight of the team. This includes Outpatient, Day program, and staff who work within the adolescent medicine ward and West 4 the adult eating disorder inpatient.

The role is responsible for:

  • Operational management of the team, ensuring that clinicians provide assessment and use diagnosis, formulation, and consumers’ preferences to develop and deliver effective, evidence-based psychological intervention as per the model of care including:
  • CBT-ED  
  • Specialist Supportive Clinical Management (SSCM) 
  • Eating-disorder-focused focal psychodynamic therapy (FPT)
  • Engaging with families and carers as part of providing evidence-based psychological assessment and intervention
  • Identifying and referring to appropriate ongoing psychological support as part of discharge planning
  • Operational management of WRC including coordinating professional development, managing recruitment, and conducting performance appraisals
  • Co-ordinate quality projects and risk management activities
  • Implement systems and processes to ensure that the operational and clinical Key Performance Indicators are met
  • Participate in department meetings and other meetings when requested or required
  • Ensure the efficiency and effectiveness of service delivery by facilitating people, process and system change where required to ensure WRC meets its purpose

 

The role is a 0.9 EFT ongoing role. Part time applicants welcome to apply.

About You

You are an experienced manager who has shown to foster a team culture that delivers care that is evidenced based, consumer and recovery focused and aligns with Monash Health’s values and strategic visions.

What you need:

  • Current registration with AHPRA or relevant body
  • Working with Children’s Check
  • Relevant post-graduate qualifications in mental health
