Are you a highly experienced and compassionate nurse with a passion for metastatic breast cancer care? 

Monash Health is seeking a dedicated McGrath Cancer Care Nurse (Advanced Breast) to join our dynamic Breast Cancer Services team. If you have extensive experience in breast cancer nursing, oncology, or palliative care—and a deep commitment to supporting patients with metastatic breast cancer—this is your opportunity to make a meaningful impact. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to a nationally recognised initiative, delivering high-quality, patient-centred care in a collaborative and supportive environment.   

  

About the Role   

As a MCCN (Advanced Breast), you will:   

  • Deliver expert clinical care, education, and emotional support to patients with breast cancer, with a focus on metastatic disease.   

  • Work within a multidisciplinary team to ensure continuity and excellence in care.   

  • Be based at Monash Health Moorabbin Hospital, with occasional travel as required   

  

About Us   

The Breast Services team at Monash Health incorporates multiple services across the patient's journey including Breast Surgery, Breast Cancer Clinical Nurse Consultants, McGrath Cancer Care Nurses (Breast & Advanced Breast), Nurse Practitioner(s), Breast Oncology, and BreastScreen Clinic. We provide a multidisciplinary approach for patients with varied and complex pathways of care, requiring detailed coordination in providing safe, high quality and timely care.   

  

About You   

You have a strong background in breast cancer or oncology/palliative nursing, you bring compassion, clinical expertise, and a commitment to delivering high-quality, evidence-based care. You thrive in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment and are dedicated to supporting patients throughout their cancer journey.

  • Advanced clinical knowledge and leadership in breast cancer care.   

  • Ability to provide tailored education, psychological support, and clinical coordination   

  • Strong leadership and advocacy within clinical settings   

  • Effective collaboration with internal and external stakeholders   

  • Commitment to accurate data reporting aligned with McGrath Foundation standards.
