Monash Health is seeking a passionate and motivated Medical Physicist Registrar to join our Diagnostic Imaging team. This is an exciting entry-level opportunity for candidates ready to commence the Training, Education and Assessment Program (TEAP) through the Australasian College of Physical Scientists and Engineers in Medicine (ACPSEM). As part of a dynamic and supportive department, you will gain practical experience and mentorship while making meaningful contributions to patient care and radiation safety.
About the Role
As a Medical Physicist Registrar, you will:

Work under the supervision of senior physicists and the Radiation Safety Officer.

Gain experience in quality assurance, compliance testing, dosimetry, and shielding calculations.

Contribute to Monash Health’s compliance with the Radiation Act, Australian Standards, and relevant codes of practice.

Progress through the ACPSEM TEAP program in Diagnostic Imaging Medical Physics.

Participate in departmental meetings, teaching, and research activities.
This is a full-time training role designed to build your expertise in medical imaging physics with exposure to multiple modalities and clinical settings.
About You
You are a self-motivated physics graduate with a strong interest in medical imaging and radiation safety. You are ready to contribute to a high-performing team and meet the following requirements:

Bachelor’s degree majoring in Physics (required)

Eligible for enrolment in the ACPSEM TEAP for Diagnostic Imaging Medical Physics

Eligible for a Victorian Radiation Use Licence
-
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
-
Knowledge of radiation safety principles and medical imaging technologies
-
Programming skills (e.g. Python) and scientific writing experience are desirable
