About ELMHS 

Early in Life Mental Health Services (ELMHS) provides assessment and treatment for infants, children, adolescents, young people and their families. We work with the 0-18 age group in the Southern Region, providing a comprehensive assessment service and a range of treatment options including inpatient treatment in times of crisis, community (outpatient) treatment, group programs, family therapy, and specialist services. We work with families to address a number of complex issues they may be experiencing, including school refusal, parent/child relationship difficulties, anxiety, depression, trauma related issues, self-harm, suicidal thinking, eating disorders, neuro developmental presentations and psychosis. We also work collaboratively with families, schools and other agencies to create identified areas for change and work strongly from a relational and systemic framework. We now have ongoing (permanent), full-time and part-time opportunities available to work as a child mental health clinician in our thriving, engaged Adolescet Community Mental Health Team, providing clinic based mental health assessment, formulation and treatment to complex and acute young people in the South East. With exposure to a multidisciplinary team led by consultant psychiatrists, we provide medium term treatment for children, adolescents and their families in the City of Casey, City of Greater Dandenong, and the Shire of Cardinia.

This position is based in Frankston.

 

A Day in the Life 

We are seeking x2 Mental Health Clinicians (any discipline - Psychologist, OT, SW Speech Path, RPN), on a Full Time - Fixed Term basis (part-time will be considered). 

No two days will be the same as you work within an established, friendly and supportive team environment, working closely together to care for clients (patients) along with providing opportunities for staff development and growth in areas that staff are passionate about. Taking a team focus on delivery of care, our primary focus is on a patient’s safe journey through theatre. We have a strong education focus and encourage staff to further develop their skills, along with being a part of a friendly and social environment to work in. We are a tight knit team who are collaborative and support one another and value all of our staff. We offer clinical education sessions, training on the job and career progression to enable you to further develop your Clinical and Leadership skills. This role will suit innovative candidates who strive to learn and embrace emerging practice directions.
