Mental Health Referral Pathway Senior Clinician - Intake, Assessment, Consultation & Brief Treatment

 

An exciting opportunity to join a thriving, engaged team of clinicians providing front-line assessment and brief treatment to complex and acute young people in the South East. Exposure to a multidisciplinary team led by consultant psychiatrists partnering with some of the most experienced clinicians in the wider service, iACT is a highly supportive, collaborative, and hard-working team where clinicians can develop fundamental and advanced clinical skills rapidly. 

 

 

About the Role:

The role is for the Mental Health Referral Pathway Senior Clinician of the Intake, Assessment, Consultation and brief Treatment (iACT) Team within the Early in Life Mental Health Service. The iACT Team provides a centralised, community-based entry point into the broader service for all intake, assessment and community consultation. Young people are triaged, assessed and may require brief intervention provided over a limited number of sessions. The team has a strong presence of senior clinicians-Discipline Seniors, Consultants psychiatrists and other senior allied health staff. 

 

About ELMHS 

Early in Life Mental Health Services (ELMHS) provides assessment and treatment for infants, children, adolescents, young people and their families. We work with the 0-18 age in the Southern Region. We provide a comprehensive assessment service and a range of treatment options including inpatient treatment in times of crisis, community (outpatient) treatment, group programs, family therapy, and specialist services. The Intake, Assessment, Consultation and Brief Treatment Team (iACT) provides up to six sessions of initial assessment and treatment for referrals received by our service. We work with families in addressing a number of complex issues that families may be experiencing including school refusal, parent/child relationship difficulties, anxiety, depression, trauma related issues, self-harm, suicidal thinking, eating disorders, and psychosis.
