About the Role: 

 

Join our team as a Maternity Manager on a full time, ongoing basis to work at Monash Women’s Program based at Monash Medical Centre 

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Midwife Manager to lead our dedicated team at Monash Medical Centre Hospital. This is an exciting opportunity to provide visible leadership, ensure excellence in clinical outcomes, and guide a team committed to delivering exceptional women centred care. As the Midwife Manager, you will be responsible for the clinical leadership, operational management, and strategic direction of the maternity service, ensuring the wellbeing of women and their babies remains at the heart of all we do. You will lead with compassion, integrity, and a focus on evidence-based practice within our low-risk model of care, while contributing to ongoing quality improvement and workforce development. 

This role reports to the Operations Manager Women's – Clayton, and forms part of our broader Women’s and Newborn leadership team.

About You:  

You are a dynamic and motivated leader with a commitment to women-centred care and excellence in clinical outcomes. With at least five years of post-registration experience in midwifery and recent management experience, you bring both professional expertise and strong people skills to lead, mentor, and inspire your team.

To ensure your success in this role you will bring the following demonstrated skills, experience and knowledge: 

  • Demonstrated leadership and management experience in midwifery 
  • A proven record of clinical excellence and commitment to continuous improvement
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organisational skills
  • A collaborative approach that fosters respect, innovation, and teamwork
  • Postgraduate qualifications in management or leadership (desirable)
