About the role

Music Therapy at Monash Health has an exciting opportunity to join the Grade 1 rotation program. New graduates are encouraged to apply. The role will commence at the Kingston Centre (Heatherton, adults) before rotating to the Victorian Paediatric Rehabilitation Service (VPRS, Clayton), Monash Children’s Hospital (general paediatrics, Clayton) and Casey Hospital (Berwick, adults). You will gain experience in paediatric rehabilitation, inpatient adult neurological rehabilitation, geriatric evaluation and management (GEM), palliative care and acute paediatrics. You will have access to regular supervision for support.

 

About You

We are looking for a passionate and enthusiastic Music Therapist who is ready to make a meaningful impact across a range of clinical settings. You will bring energy, adaptability, and a strong commitment to person-centred care.

  • Undergraduate or postgraduate degree in Music Therapy from an approved training course;
  • Eligibility for current membership and registration with the Australian Music Therapy Association (AMTA);
  • Current ARIA Music Therapist Copyright and Reproduction licence; and
  • A current Working with Children and Police check.

Music Therapy at Monash Health provides clinical music therapy services to adult and paediatric inpatients, mental health and community services; operating across Monash Medical Centre, Monash Children’s Hospital, Casey Hospital and the Kingston Centre.
