Deliver advanced, evidence-based Music Therapy interventions for paediatric, neonatal, and rehabilitation patients and their families

Provide clinical leadership within the music therapy service, including supervision and support of Grade 1 and Grade 2 clinicians and students

Lead or contribute to quality improvement, service development, research, and teaching initiatives

Coordinate and overseas music therapy workload distribution to ensure operational efficiency and equitable service delivery.

Work collaboratively within interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient and family experiences and outcomes

Support credentialing, orientation, and performance development activities across the music therapy team

Promote best practice and service innovation aligned with Monash Health’s strategic priorities

Support transition to home, school, and community settings through family-centred music therapy approaches.
- Advanced clinical knowledge and experience in paediatric and/or neonatal settings
- Demonstrated ability to lead, supervise and support team members
- Skills in service development, research, and/or teaching
- A collaborative and compassionate approach to patient care
- Strong clinical reasoning and communication skills
- A commitment to ongoing professional development and quality improvement
- Undergraduate or postgraduate degree in Music Therapy from an approved training course
- Eligible for current membership and registration with the Australian Music Therapy Association (AMTA) Inc.
- Current ARIA Music Therapist Copyright & Reproduction licence
- At least 7 years of relevant clinical experience
- Experience supervising junior staff and/or students
- A supportive and cohesive team of clinicians within a larger multidisciplinary setting
- Genuine career progression and professional development
