About the Role

A great opportunity exists for an experienced paediatric nurse leader to join Monash Children's Hospital as Nurse Manager of 4A Canopy, a dynamic inpatient ward specialising in general paediatric medicine, cardiology, and respiratory care. Based at the Clayton campus, this full-time leadership role is responsible for the operational, clinical, and strategic direction of the ward, leading a dedicated nursing team to deliver safe, high-quality, and compassionate care to children and their families.

About Us

Ward 4A Canopy is a dedicated 16‑bed inpatient unit providing high-quality, family-centred care for children requiring medical, cardiac, and respiratory support. Operating 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, the ward supports both unplanned admissions through the Emergency Department and planned admissions from outpatient services where clinically appropriate, ensuring timely access to care and efficient use of inpatient capacity.

Our experienced nursing team delivers specialised paediatric care, working closely with medical and allied health professionals to support each child’s individual needs. Clear admission processes and well-established escalation pathways enable smooth coordination with the Emergency Department and other inpatient units, promoting safe, efficient patient flow.

At Ward 4A Canopy, we are committed to providing compassionate, coordinated care in a supportive environment for children and their families.
