About the Role
Join our team as a Nurse Manager in a full time, ongoing position working out of Monash Children’s Hospital - Paediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) at Clayton.
About Us
At Cocoon, our 10-bed Paediatric Intensive Care Unit, we offer comprehensive care to children who require life-support or an intensive level of nursing and medical care. Our dedicated team of healthcare professionals works tirelessly to ensure the highest standard of care in a dynamic, child-friendly environment. We are passionate about fostering a supportive atmosphere where both patients and their families feel cared for and valued.
About You
You are an experienced and enthusiastic nurse leader who is ready to take the next step in their career. You are dynamic and self-motivated with recent acute children’s nursing practice. While you are able to work independently, you excel in consulting and working collaboratively within a compassionate, dedicated, and vibrant multi-disciplinary team to deliver positive results. Furthermore, you are easily identified as an excellent nursing role model and are relentless in your quest to ensure safety for patients and your team.
To ensure your success in this role you will bring the following demonstrated skills, experience and knowledge:
- Extensive post registration experience, with current continuum of practice inclusive of children’s nursing
- Proven people and communication skills including relationship building, cooperation, conflict resolution, influencing others and facilitating open discussions
- Ability to work independently as well as consulting and collaborating with others to deliver outcomes
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
In addition:
- Significant Paediatric Critical Care clinical experience
- Completion of postgraduate studies in Critical Care
- You are registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Authority (AHRPA)
- Hold a valid Working with Children Check
