About the Role
Monash Health Supportive and Palliative Care Service provides care for patients with a life limiting illness incorporating a 16 bed inpatient palliative care unit located at Monash Medical Centre Clayton, a 5 bed inpatient palliative care unit at Casey Hospital and a Palliative Care Consultancy service.
The Units work closely with all facets of Monash Health services, from inpatient wards to our Specialist Palliative Care Nurse Consultant Service to Hospital in the Home and Community Palliative Care.
We are at the forefront of change within Palliative Care. Our affiliation with Monash University enables us to access the significant research undertaken in the area readily, and we are open to using a range of evidence-based techniques in our practice.
A key clinical leadership opportunity is available for an experienced Palliative Care Nurse to join the McCulloch House team as Nurse Manager. This is a Full Time Ongoing opportunity working Monday to Friday.
You will thrive in embedding your vision, developing a high performing team and work closely with patients and their families to ensure we deliver excellent patient care in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team. Reporting to and working closely with the Director of Clinical Operations, you are responsible for the clinical and operational outcomes, leading and mentoring a team, workforce management and strategy, management of financial resources and delivering service excellence and innovations.

A relevant Post Graduate qualification teamed with recent clinical expertise, current leadership experience and APHRA registration, is essential.

- Bereavement Support: The unit offers comprehensive bereavement support to help families cope with the loss of their loved ones.
- Quality Improvement: Continuous quality improvement initiatives are in place to enhance the care provided and ensure best practices are followed.
