About the Role

 

Monash Health is seeking a dedicated and experienced Nurse or Midwife Manager to join our expanding Public Fertility Program. As a clinical leader, you will play a vital role in coordinating and delivering high-quality, compassionate care to patients undergoing fertility treatment. This role will suit a clinician who thrives in a dynamic, collaborative environment and who is driven to support individuals and families from all walks of life.

You will lead a team of passionate clinicians, be supported by senior staff and clinical mentors, and work alongside a multidisciplinary team including doctors, embryologists, and allied health professionals.

 

Key Responsibilities

As a Nurse/Midwife Manager in Fertility Services, you will:

 

  • Lead the delivery of safe, high-quality, person-centred fertility care in line with RTAC, clinical, and Monash Health standards.
  • Provide clinical leadership across Assisted Reproductive Treatment (ART) coordination, ultrasound, medication management, patient education, and escalation of care.
  • Support and develop staff through supervision, mentoring, performance management, and workforce planning.
  • Drive evidence-based practice and quality improvement, ensuring compliance with fertility regulations and performance indicators.
  • Oversee day-to-day operations including patient flow, rostering, resource management, and financial accountability.
  • Uphold professional standards, contribute to service planning, and advocate for equitable, inclusive fertility care.

About You

 

To ensure your success in this role you will bring the following demonstrated skills, experience and knowledge:

 

Essential:

  • Registered Nurse or Midwife with a minimum of 4 years of experience in the management of patients with infertility
  • Demonstrated continuing nursing education in the field of infertility, as required by Australian fertility standards
  • Demonstrated leadership experience to support a positive culture within the team
  • Willingness to train in or experience with vaginal follicle tracking ultrasound
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Experience working within a close-knit multidisciplinary team
  • High-level verbal, written, and telephone communication skills
  • Calm, empathetic nature with a patient-centred focus
  • Familiarity with patient management software

 

Desirable:

  • Previous experience in fertility nursing or ART services
  • Background in women’s health
