About the Role
Join our Adult Mental Health Inpatient Unit (P Block) at Monash Medical Centre, Clayton, as a Grade 2 Occupational Therapist on a fixed term basis until May 2026.
You’ll provide evidence-based assessment, intervention and discharge planning to adults experiencing acute mental health challenges. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you’ll:

Deliver individual and group-based occupational therapy interventions.

Provide short-term care coordination and functional assessments.

Support recovery through sensory modulation and occupation-based practice.

Collaborate with community services and families to ensure smooth transitions from inpatient to community care.
This role offers a supportive environment to develop and strengthen your clinical skills within an acute mental health setting.
About Us
Monash Health’s Mental Health Program delivers a wide range of community, bed-based and specialist services across five LGAs, supporting nearly one million people. The P Block Unit is a 25-bed inpatient service providing assessment and treatment for adults aged 25–64, guided by recovery-oriented and trauma-informed principles.
