About the Role

 

We have an opportunity available for a Grade 2 Occupational Therapist, to join the team at Monash Medical Centre. This position is full time fixed term, until April 2027 and is in the acute program in the bed-based service and will cover a specialty medicine caseload, predominantly within a renal/vascular caseload.  This will be an excellent opportunity for an experienced, or an emerging Grade 2 clinician. 

 

The Grade 2 Occupational Therapist is a leader on the wards and is an integral part of the supportive MDT that conducts high quality assessments and intervention helping achieve prompt discharges. Occupational Performance assessment and intervention is at the core of what we provide to patients to ensure robust discharges. This position requires highly developed communication and teamwork skills and an ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

 

Your clinical leadership will extend to supervising Grade 1 therapists and students, guiding them in their early career steps.  You will be well supported through regular supervision from a Senior Clinician.

 

About You

 

You are an AHPRA registered Occupational Therapist, with no restrictions. To thrive in this role, you'll bring: 

 

  • Experience in acute clinical occupational therapy, experience working with patients post amputation desirable
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Demonstrated experience with quality and/or research initiatives
  • Demonstrated commitment to best practice care'
