About the Role
Join our team as a Grade 3 Occupational Therapist on a Full-Time ongoing basis. This role will work across Transition Care and Residential Care, including the brand new Boollam Boollam Aged Care Centre, based in Heatherton (if required).
The Senior Clinician Occupational Therapst is a core part of the Aged Care Services leadership team. This is a unique opportunity to join our large, friendly community-based team. This role will suit an enthusiastic, dynamic and skilled clinician, keen to take responsibility for leading a team ensuring the delivery of safe and high-quality client care, driving service development, and championing impactful continuous improvement activities and research.
In this role, you will:
- Deliver expert clinical care across aged care settings through assessment, care planning, case management, and discharge coordination.
- Provide clinical leadership, supervision, and mentoring to staff, students, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Lead and contribute to service planning, aged care reform, research, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Coordinate workflows and service delivery to ensure safe, effective, and timely client care.
- Build strong partnerships with community organisations and stakeholders to support integrated care

About You
You are a dedicated, compassionate Occupational Therapist with:
- Highly developed clinical knowledge and experience in aged care and gerontology
- Strong understanding of relevant legislation including the Aged Care Act, Mental Health Act, and other compliance frameworks
- A proven ability to provide supervision, mentoring, and leadership to others
- A commitment to delivering holistic, evidence-based, and consumer-centred care
- An interest in service innovation, quality improvement and multidisciplinary collaboration
- Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to deliver safe consumer- focused care, providing specialist knowledge or depth of experience
- A well-developed understanding of and ability to navigate complex service systems including (but not limited to) My Aged Care, State-wide Equipment Program and GEAT2GO
Mandatory requirements of the role:
- Current Victorian drivers licence
- Current and Satisfactory Aged Care Clearance (Police Check/Aged Care Worker Screen)
- NDIS workers check
- No current Aged Care Banning Orders in place (as per Register of Banning Orders)
- Registered with State-Wide Equipment Program & registration with GEAT2Go is desirable.
Education & licence requirements include:
- Post graduate qualification (or working towards) Leadership/ Management/ Gerontology/ Other relevant field (desirable)
- Research active (desirable).
- Current Victorian driver licence
- Current and Satisfactory Aged Care Clearance (Police Check/Aged Care Worker Screen)
- Current and satifactory NDIS Workers Check and NDIS Worker Oritentation Certificate of Completion
- No current Aged Care Banning Orders in place (as per Register of Banning Orders)
