About the Role:
Are you ready to take the next exciting step in your Occupational Therapy career? We're looking for a passionate and experienced OT to join our Monash at Home (ARC) service as an Occupational Therapist Grade 3 on a full-time, ongoing basis with part-time also being considered.
Based across our Kingston Centre (Cheltenham) and Cranbourne sites, this role offers variety and the chance to make a real difference in the lives of our patients. You’ll deliver best practice patient care through both in-person and Telehealth Occupational Therapy assessments and intervention to patients who are admitted to the service. Working with a diverse caseload in a supportive and forward-thinking team environment.
But that’s not all — as a clinical expert, you'll play a key leadership role, mentoring and guiding our Grade 1 and 2 Occupational Therapists while driving excellence in care delivery. You'll be instrumental in shaping the future of Occupational Therapy at Monash at Home, helping us achieve our mission through innovation, collaboration, and compassion.
- Providing a high standard of client assessment, intervention and coordination of services, required aids and equipment to patients, to facilitate safe, effective and person-centred care
- The planning, development, quality and evaluation of evidence-based Occupational Therapy service within Monash at Home (ARC)
- Participating in the development of a collaborative inter-professional team approach to achieve optimal patient care and outcomes
- Create strong partnerships within and outside Monash Health in collaboration with the Allied Health and Psychology Manager, Nurse Manager, and other team members
- Assuming responsibility for relevant administrative portfolios as directed by the Allied Health and Psychology Manager or the Senior Occupational Therapist
About Us:
Monash at Home – Aged and Rehabilitation Care (ARC) is a 40 bed service that covers the Monash Health catchment and is a fundamental part of the broader Aged and Rehabilitation Division.
The team consists of Medical, Nursing, Allied Health, Pharmacy, Psychology and Administration staff. Monash at Home (ARC) provides an alternative to inpatient care, and providing safe and high quality home based services for individuals with complex medical, functional, cognitive issues and rehabilitation needs, who require comprehensive, medically led multidisciplinary assessment and intervention within the comfort of their own home.
Patients within the service receive a daily visit from nursing. Medical, allied health, neuropsychology and pharmacy also provide face to face visits or Telehealth which are dependent on patient needs. Patients also have access to 24 hour telephone support.
The service also aims to provide short term, high quality, safe and effective patient centred care to patients within the primary Monash Health catchment.
About You:
To ensure your success in this role you will bring the following demonstrated skills, experience and knowledge:
- You are a dynamic Occupational Therapist with a genuine passion and interest in working with patients within a home environment, combined with proven experience and effective
- You have experience in working within a healthcare setting
- You have proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively and readily build strong working relationships with key stakeholders in the delivery of client centred care
- You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Mandatory requirements of this role:
- Demonstrated recent experience as an Occupational Therapist with at least 7 years of clinical experience
- Current AHPRA registration
- Valid Driver's licence
