About the role
Are you a detail-oriented team player ready to step into a key role supporting the MHF’s Operations Unit? In this dynamic position, you will provide seamless coordination of day‑to‑day activities, finance and operational processes that enable accurate reporting, and effective fund distribution. With a strong focus on the details being right, collaboration and continuous improvement, you will contribute to the MHF delivering meaningful outcomes.
Based at Monash Medical Centre in Clayton, this part time opportunity will work 22.8 hours week, Monday to Friday. Ideally work across the week, hours are flexible depending availability.
Travel to other Monash Health sites on occasion, may be required.
Your key responsibilities will include:

Support maintaining accurate data, tracking, and reconciliations for timely and meaningful reporting.

Support fund disbursement processes, ensuring approvals, documentation and records are complete.

Assist with reporting to different stakeholders through preparation of data, schedules and reconciliations.

Coordinate operational activities such as supplies, travel and administrative logistics.

Contribute for greater efficiencies, improving processes and in continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsible for building meaningful partnerships with our donors and soliciting philanthropic support to purchase new equipment, invest in programs, research and people to enable Monash Health to provide the best care to consumers and their families.
About You
You are a highly organised and proactive team player who enjoys keeping things running smoothly behind the scenes. With a strong eye for detail and a commitment to accuracy, you take pride in delivering reliable work and supporting others to succeed. You are comfortable juggling priorities, learning new systems and working collaboratively in a fast‑paced, purpose‑driven environment.
What you need
You will bring relevant experience in administration, operations or finance support, along with confidence using Microsoft Office tools, particularly Excel, and business systems such as SharePoint and Teams. A qualification in business, finance, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience, will support your success in this role.
A sound understanding of record‑keeping, data tracking and basic financial processes will be highly regarded, as will your ability to follow structured processes and maintain accurate documentation. Above all, you will demonstrate professionalism, discretion and a genuine desire to contribute to a high‑performing, purpose‑led team.
