The Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery Unit at Monash Health is based at Monash Medical Centre (Clayton and Moorabbin), Monash Children’s as well as Dandenong Hospitals. We provide a wide range of adult and paediatric elective and emergency services and manage the whole spectrum of maxillofacial trauma, jaw cysts and tumours, dentofacial deformity as well as cleft and craniofacial anomalies. We work in close association with colleagues from the ENT, Head & Neck, Neurosurgery, Ophthalmology, Plastic surgery and Dental Specialist units to provide comprehensive multidisciplinary care.
About the Role
Support and assist the Unit Director of the Department of Oral Maxillofacial Surgery, Monash Health in the provision of high quality Oral Maxillofacial Surgery Services at Monash Health sites, consistent with the Monash Health values.

Provide clinical leadership through active involvement in patient care

Be available to medical colleagues for consultation and liaison as appropriate regarding patient care

Be immediately available for urgent consultation and assistance in resuscitation and subsequent management of critically ill or injured patients

Support academic, research, education, training & supervision (both undergraduate and postgraduate) roles in the Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery Unit, Monash Health

Contribute to the professional and corporate life of Monash Health by participation in appropriate committees and fora

Contribute to ongoing service improvement of clinical and workforce innovation to ensure Monash Health provides high quality accessible Oral & Maxillofacial Services within allocated resources and meets the needs of Monash Health patients.
About You
What you need:

Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)

Appropriate health professional tertiary qualifications
-
Fellowship of the RACDS (OMS) or equivalent

Working with Children's Certificate
