With 24,000 employees, we provide care to south-eastern metropolitan Melbourne and rural Victoria from over 40 locations, via telehealth, within local communities and in people’s homes.  At Monash Health, our Support Services team plays a crucial role in both clinical and non-clinical areas, ensuring the smooth operation of our healthcare facilities. This is an opportunity to work across multiple sites, including Monash Health's brand new residential aged care facility, providing essential services that directly impact patient care and overall hospital efficiency. Monash Health is seeking dedicated and motivated individuals to join our team as Environmental Service Assistants. This role is essential in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for patients, staff, and visitors across our healthcare facilities. No formal qualifications are required for this position but must have previous cleaning experience.

A Day in the Life:

As an ESA, you will be required to complete multiple tasks during a shift, which may include but not limited to:

• Cleaning using Microfiber and steam
• Waste/Hard Rubbish Collection and Removal
• Bathroom and Toilet Cleaning including showers
• Linen collection and distribution
• Fringe Mopping and Wet Mopping
• Carpet Vacuuming
• Window Spot Cleaning
• Infection Control
• Furniture Cleaning as requested

About You:

• A competent level of verbal & written communication skills
• A high standard of demonstrated experience in customer service from a health care or hospitality environment
• Be respectful towards patients within a sensitive setting
• Ability to work with a cohesive team or individually to complete daily tasks
• Basic to intermediate computer skills
• Able to undertake physical work including lifting, carrying and manual handling throughout the site
• Demonstrate safe work practices
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Work autonomously / minimal supervision.
• The ability to work in both residential and hospital setting

What you need:

• Certificate III Cleaning Operations (desirable)
• Certificate III Health Services Assistant (desirable)
• Current Victorian Driver’s License (desirable)
• NDIS worker screening check (desirable)
• Employee Working With Children check
