About Monash Health Pathology Service   

You will be joining Monash Health at an exciting time as we work in partnership with Alfred Health to be the premier shared public pathology service in Victoria.  As a member of the pathology team you will be helping shape the direction of the partnership. Monash Health Pathology is an integral part of Monash Health. It is the largest public provider of Pathology services in the state and currently operates 6 laboratories. The largest of these is located at the Monash Medical Centre, Clayton, with additional laboratories located at the Dandenong, Moorabbin, Casey, Victorian Heart Hospital and Wonthaggi Hospitals. There are currently 18 collection locations based within the hospital sites and community settings. Services are provided to the Public and Private sectors, and other laboratory services.

About the Role 

The incumbent needs a very good understanding of Pathology Collections with several years’ experience. In addition they require an excellent understanding of processes and procedures and had practical experience of learning methodologies and how to conduct training courses either in a one-on-one, on the job, or classroom situation. He/she needs to have an understanding of presentation skills and technologies to deliver effective courses and course materials. To provide an extensive range of pathology investigations for all disciplines for inpatients, hospital outpatients and privately referred patients around the clock. Monash Pathology provides a pathology service to Monash Health with laboratories located at Casey Hospital, Dandenong Hospital, Moorabbin Hospital and Monash Medical Centre and network of collection centres throughout south-eastern Melbourne.  

Requirements: 

• A Certificate III or IV in Pathology Specimen Collection  

• Applicant must hold a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
