About the role

Are you an experienced Grade 2 Social Worker looking for an exciting opportunity to join the Perinatal and Infant Inpatient Unit? We have a full-time, ongoing role available.

The Perinatal and Infant Inpatient Unit, located at Monash Medical Centre Clayton, is excited to be recruiting a Social Work discipline specific role within its dynamic Integrated Mental Health Team. This position is a care co-ordination role that will respond to families in the perinatal period where the identified primary care giver is experiencing a severe mental health condition; attachment difficulties within the dyad; where the infant is at high risk for psychological and emotional instability; and/or infant development is compromised

 

About You 

The successful candidate will draw on strong bio-psycho-social, family and social systems frameworks, be familiar with current and emerging evidence based practices and will contribute their skills and knowledge through individually targeted interventions. You are also:

  • dedicated to safe practice and quality care 
  • committed to delivering patient centred care and patient advocacy 
  • enthusiastic, compassionate and able to work collaboratively

  • Relevant qualifications (aligned to the Position Description) 
  • Current Registration 
  • Any relevant mandatory/required skills or licences
