About the team

The Perinatal and Infant Mental Health Team offers specialist perinatal and parent-infant mental healthcare. The Perinatal and Infant Mental Health Team works alongside other mental health clinicians working with expectant mothers, parents and infants, to provide education, consultation, supervision and specialist perinatal and parent-infant mental health assessment and treatments. You will work with a multidisciplinary team led by a Team Manager and consultant psychiatrists. We work collaboratively with families and other agencies to create identified areas for change and work strongly from a relational and systemic framework.

About the Role

An exciting opportunity for a mental health clinician to join a thriving, engaged team providing clinic-based mental health assessment, formulation and treatment to families in the perinatal period. The Perinatal and Infant Mental Health Team supports families where maternal mental illness may impact the relationship with their infant or pregnancy.

These permanent roles will support the team at our Oakleigh and Pakenham sites and are funded as a Grade 3 Allied Health Clinician: Social Work, Occupational Therapy, Speech Pathology (YC42-45, YB20-23, YB47-50), Grade 2 Psychologist (PK1-4) and Grade 3 Nursing (NP74). These roles will suit a creative and innovative candidate who strives to learn and embrace emerging practice directions. Our service attracts clinicians who believe that families and individuals have the capacity to change and are instrumental in supporting this process. We are highly driven by internal collaborative relationships and value enthusiastic work practices and enhancing team relationships.

About You

Seeking to grow our dedicated & knowledgeable team, we are looking for you to bring your demonstrated skills and experience in case management, assessment and treatment, working with parents, infants and their families within a multidisciplinary team. You are adaptable to a changing environment as we work together to deliver first class service. Alongside your caring and engaging manner, you have a positive work attitude, strong communication skills and a strong people-person focus allowing you to engage with our clients and their families.
