About the Role:
The Perioperative & Elective Services Manager is responsible for the strategic and operational management of the Perioperative & Elective Services Team. This team is a multidisciplinary team comprising of Senior Nursing and clerical employee who are responsible for the care of the patient from time of referral to the elective surgery waiting list through the preoperative workup, scheduling for surgery and ensuring patients are treated in a timely way.
Key deliverables for the role include:
· Co-ordinate the Perioperative & Elective Services across allocated sites to maximise efficiency and minimise duplication
· Ensure Patients are prepared for surgery in a timely way, with a focus on patient centred care
· Ensure DHHS ESAS Compliance by the ESS team in management of the ESWL
· Managing the team within allocated budget
· Providing senior clinical leadership that supports the ESS team to provide patient centred care
· Undertakes Strategic Planning that identifies areas of improvement within the preoperative phase, along with areas of improved efficiency within the Theatre Schedule.
· Develop and implement elective surgery waiting list management initiatives and processes that are aligned to program key priorities
This is a Full Time, Monday to Friday role for a 6 month Fixed-Term Contract. Part time applications will be considered with a minimum requirement to work .8EFT.

About You:
Being an experienced Nursing Leader, you will be able to clearly demonstrate your ability to show initiative, work independently and work as a team member within the interdisciplinary team whilst simultaneously building and supporting your team to be their best.
You will have the ability to lead a team across multiple sites to meet patent needs and ensure timely care.
Experience working within the public healthcare sector is highly desirable
What You Need:
- · Surgical Nursing knowledge and experience, essential
- · Financial and ESIS Audit Awareness, desirable
- · Understanding of the Perioperative journey, desirable
- · Post Graduate Qualification in leadership or management or working towards, essential
