  • Part time - 3 days per week

About our Palliative Care Department at Monash Health
Monash Health Palliative Care Unit consists of two inpatient Palliative Care units (comprising 16 beds at McCulloch House and 5 beds at Casey Hospital) as well as a consultation liaison service across Monash Health campuses. The unit has also developed a number of palliative care outpatient clinics and runs a RAPID outreach program. 
 
About The Role 
The Personal Assistant role within the Palliative Care Unit is pivotal to the department in maintaining its operational business responsibilities and those to Monash University and other external stakeholders. 
Based at McCulloch House, Clayton the role includes: 
  • Provide a friendly, courteous and professional greeting and support to all visitors/patients
  • Answer and assist incoming callers in a friendly, courteous and professional manner at all times
  • Ensure an appropriate standard of presentation of the upstairs office area
  • Administrative support to the Director, Nurse Managers and medical employees as appropriate
  • UKG support for medical staff
  • Maintain currency of Internet knowledge
 
About You
You have a broad administrative background with highly developed organisational skills, a high attention to detail and strong communication skills. Through your hard working and enthusiastic nature you have the ability to adapt to changing priorities and targets and can manage a high workload. Previous Personal Assistant and or Executive Assistant experience is required. 
In the role of Personal Assistant you will provide executive support, operational business support and human resource, finance and document management administration for the various areas within Monash Health. You will work within busy team based environments providing efficient and effective administrative support.
  • Advanced computer skills (Microsoft Office)
  • High level communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Diary Management Experience
  • Minute Taking experience – advantage
  • Ability to work autonomously
  • Medical Terminology – advantage
  • Play an key role in the supporting the efficient management of our Palliative Care Unit
