Monash Children's Paediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU)

Monash Children’s Hospital PICU is one of Australia’s newest tertiary paediatric intensive care units — a dynamic, growing team dedicated to caring for critically ill children and their families.
We’re led by passionate PICU consultants, an energetic nursing team and committed allied health professionals who support each other, lead with kindness and bring their best every day.

What you’ll actually do
As the PA to the Head of Paediatric Intensive Care, you’re the operational hub of the unit. You’ll provide high-level executive support to the unit head and senior medical staff — coordinating meetings, managing complex calendars, handling correspondence, solving roster challenges and jumping in during staffing emergencies.
You’ll also run end-to-end administration for the unit’s education and course programs (internal and external). You’ll work alongside people who aim high in a genuinely friendly, supportive environment.

What we’re looking for
- Strong administrative experience supporting senior leaders or managers in a PA/EA capacity
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, changing environment with a flexible, can-do attitude plus strong organisation, communication and time-management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Advanced MS Office skills (SharePoint experience is a plus)
- Honesty, hard work and strict respect for confidentiality
- Comfort with shifting priorities while staying focused on what matters
