About the Role
Join Monash Health as a Resident Candidate Pharmacist on an ongoing full-time basis, commencing in March 2026. Take the next step in your hospital pharmacy career through our nationally accredited, structured two-year Resident Training Program. You’ll rotate across clinical, operational, and elective areas, gaining diverse experience and building advanced practice capabilities in a supportive, high-performing environment.
This is a unique opportunity to be part of a program that combines hands-on learning, research, and mentorship to accelerate your development from a General/Foundation level practitioner to an ANZCAP-recognised Resident Pharmacist.
You’ll work across Monash Health sites and may have the opportunity to complete a 6-month rotation at Sale Hospital (Central Gippsland Health Service), immersing yourself in regional healthcare delivery.
What Your Day Might Look Like
- Deliver safe, high-quality pharmacy services across inpatient and outpatient settings
- Participate in structured learning activities including mini-CEXs, case discussions, and ClinCAT evaluations
- Lead a research project with support from experienced supervisors
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimise medication management
- Rotate through surgical, medical, operational, and elective areas
- Contribute to education, quality improvement, and innovation in pharmacy practice

About You
You’re an early-career pharmacist or current intern ready to build your clinical confidence and contribute meaningfully to patient care. You’re curious, collaborative, and committed to professional development.
To be considered for this role, you will need:
- Current AHPRA registration as a pharmacist (or eligible by March 2026)
- Strong communication and time management skills
- Ability to work effectively in interprofessional teams
- A commitment to education, research, and quality improvement
- Postgraduate qualifications and hospital experience are desirable
