About the Role

Join Monash Health as a Grade 2 Pharmacist in our Cancer Services Registrar Training Program. This full-time, two-year structured program is designed to advance your practice from an ANZCAP-recognised Resident Pharmacist to a Registrar Pharmacist, with a specialised focus on oncology and haematology.

You’ll work across Monash Health’s cancer services, contributing to safe, evidence-based medication management for patients undergoing complex treatments. Through structured rotations, mentorship, and research opportunities, you’ll develop advanced clinical and operational skills in cancer care, while making a meaningful impact on patient outcomes.

 

Key responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality pharmacy services in oncology and haematology settings
  • Participate in structured learning activities and complete a quality improvement or research project
  • Collaborate with oncologists, nurses, and allied health professionals to optimise medication management
  • Provide education and support to patients, carers, and clinical teams
  • Rotate through cancer services across Monash Health sites
  • Contribute to education, policy development, and continuous improvement initiatives

 

About Us

About You

You’re a hospital pharmacist with 3–7 years of experience, ready to specialise in cancer services. You’re detail-oriented, compassionate, and committed to improving patient outcomes through advanced practice, education, and research.

To be considered for this role, you will need:

  • Current AHPRA registration as a pharmacist
  • ANZCAP Resident-level experience or equivalent
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work effectively in inter-professional teams
  • A commitment to education, research, and quality improvement
  • Desirable: postgraduate qualifications, clinical supervision training, and research experience
