About the Role
Join Monash Health as a Grade 2 Pharmacist in our Emergency Medicine Registrar Training Program. This full-time, two-year structured program is designed to advance your practice from an ANZCAP-recognised Resident Pharmacist to a Registrar Pharmacist, with a focus on emergency medicine.
You’ll work across Monash Health’s Emergency Departments, gaining hands-on experience in high-acuity environments while contributing to safe, timely, and patient-centred care. The program includes structured rotations, mentorship, and opportunities for research and quality improvement, preparing you for advanced practice in one of the most dynamic areas of hospital pharmacy.
Key responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality pharmacy services in emergency settings, supporting rapid decision-making and safe medication use
- Participate in structured learning activities and complete a quality improvement or research project
- Collaborate with emergency physicians, nurses, and allied health professionals to optimise medication management
- Provide medicines information and education to patients, carers, and clinical teams
- Rotate through emergency departments across Monash Health sites
- Contribute to education, policy development, and continuous improvement initiatives

About You
You’re a hospital pharmacist with 3–7 years of experience, ready to thrive in fast-paced clinical environments. You’re calm under pressure, collaborative, and committed to improving patient outcomes through advanced practice, education, and research.
To be considered for this role, you will need:
- Current AHPRA registration as a pharmacist
- ANZCAP Resident-level experience or equivalent
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work effectively in inter-professional teams
- A commitment to education, research, and quality improvement
- Desirable: postgraduate qualifications, clinical supervision training, and research experience
