About the Role
Great opportunity to join our Pharmacy team as a Pharmacist Team Leader for Informatics. This is a full-time, fixed term role.
The Pharmacist Team Leader – Informatics plays a pivotal role in overseeing the delivery, optimisation and strategic development of digital health systems within the Pharmacy Department. You will provide leadership and direction to the Informatics team, ensuring activities are well coordinated, prioritised and aligned with departmental objectives. A key focus of this role is the oversight of the Informatics team’s work plan, as well as active involvement in planning and implementing system upgrades across key platforms such as Merlin, MerlinMAP, Charm and smart pump technologies.
A Day in the Life
In this leadership role, you will work across a broad landscape of digital health activity. You will provide oversight of informatics workloads, ensuring work is appropriately prioritised and distributed across the team. You will coordinate staffing to ensure services are supported during operational hours and contribute to the development of competencies and frameworks that build capability within the team. Your work also involves supporting governance functions—such as documentation review, KPI monitoring, improvement initiatives and committee activities—to ensure services remain compliant, efficient and adaptable. You will help drive enhancements to digital workflows by reviewing system performance, responding to audits, incidents and feedback, and implementing actions that strengthen the quality and reliability of informatics services.

About You
You are an experienced pharmacist with strong technical aptitude, leadership capability and a passion for digital health. You have a keen eye for operational efficiency and thrive on developing frameworks, systems and structures that support high-performing teams. You bring well‑developed communication and analytical skills, enabling you to lead complex system reviews, guide team members and collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders and system vendors. Above all, you are committed to driving innovation, improving clinical workflows and ensuring digital systems support safe, efficient, high‑quality medication management.
