About the Role: 

Join our team as a Pharmacy Technician Educator (Grade 4). The roles are full time, with part-time applications considered.  

  • This is a new role. You will work together with the Pharmacy Technician Development Lead and the Pharmacy Education teams to develop this role and the pharmacy technician workforce. 

  • Work in partnership with the Pharmacy Technician Development Lead and the Pharmacy Education teams to provide educational and training support for hospital pharmacy technicians across Monash Health. 

  • Ensure best practice clinical learning and education and training services are provided to pharmacy technicians. 

  • Support and train the pharmacy technicians supervising learners to provide clinical supervision and feedback. 

  • Support credentialing activities for pharmacy technicians to broaden their scope of practice. 

  • Collaborate with relevant Pharmacy Team Leaders to identify professional development areas and support required for individuals.

About You:  

To ensure your success in this role you will bring the following demonstrated skills, experience and knowledge: 

Technical skills/knowledge/experience (italics indicate desirable) 

  • Minimum of three years’ full time experience as a qualified pharmacy technician 

  • Skills and experience in supervision, training and mentoring 

  • Works well with peers showing flexibility and adaptability 

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills 

  • Previous hospital pharmacy experience 

Qualifications/registrations/licences (italics indicate desirable)  

  • Certificate III or IV in Hospital/Health Services Pharmacy Support or an equivalent relevant qualification 

  • Certificate IV in training and assessment  

  • Advanced Pharmacy Australia membership
