About the Department / Program 

Monash Health Pharmacy is a diverse and dynamic team of over 500 professionals. We work across seven hospitals and community settings, delivering best-practice pharmacy services and supporting career development through structured rotations, mentoring, and leadership opportunities.   

 

About the Role

Join our team as a Rotational Pharmacy Technician on a full time or part time ongoing basis, with the opportunity to work across multiple Monash Health sites and pharmacy areas.

 

Working under the guidance of Pharmacy Technician Team Leaders, you’ll be part of a collaborative pharmacy and multidisciplinary team, supporting the safe, efficient and patient-centred supply of medicines across our services.

 

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting the supply, distribution and management of medicines across clinical areas.
  • Maintaining stock levels, completing expiry checks and ensuring medicines and pharmacy supplies are available when needed.
  • Supporting dispensing and other pharmacy activities within your scope of practice.
  • Working collaboratively with pharmacists, technicians and the broader healthcare team to deliver responsive pharmacy services.
  • Participating in rotational rosters, including weekends and public holidays, in line with service requirements.
  • Working flexibly across the Monash Health network, including travel to other sites as required.

 

About You

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A collaborative approach and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Good numeracy, computer literacy and attention to detail.
  • A commitment to ongoing learning and professional development.
  • Previous hospital pharmacy experience (desirable).
  • Experience in aseptic and cytotoxic preparation (desirable).

 

Mandatory requirements of the role

  • Victorian Certificate of Education or equivalent.
